ELIGIBILITY
For B-Tech/B.E: Most agricultural universities/colleges admit students from science background (PCM/PCMB) on the basis of performance either in A.I.E.E.E or in respective state entrance examination. Fifteen percent seats are also filled through I.C.A.R. Diploma and B.Sc. degree holders are also admitted directly into 2nd year of B-tech after qualifying the concerned examinations.
For M-tech: Student must be a graduate in agricultural engineering and have qualified in gate examination. The students have to fill up their choices of specialization at the time of applying in various institutes. Based on the merit list (70% gate score + 30% interview marks) students get their specialization. However, others streams students may be admitted to M-tec h after qualifying gate examination in their respective streams.
For PhD: Should be masters in respective disciplines, and admissions are on the basis of Merit and Interviews.
